MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Signed cover letter and receipt of online visa fee payment - printed from the Application Portal.
One passport sized photo: White background and no older than 6 months. Edited photos not accepted. Paste your photo
(do not staple) on the upper right corner of the Cover Letter.
Photocopy of Original Passport - biopage and all used pages with visas and stamps. Submit your original passport along
with the application. It must be issued within the last 10 years, have at least 2 unused pages and be valid for at least 3
months after your planned departure from the Schengen area.
If visiting a relative, submit proof of relationship - Photocopies of Birth Certificates and/or marriage Certificates
If visiting a friend or girl-/boyfriend, submit photocopies of his/her passport with stamps including biopage to prove
time spent together If both parties have spent time together outside Malawi, copies of both passports with stamps
If the inviting person will pay for the stay: Proof of sufficient funds for the inviting person – three most recent
payslips, pension or account statements for the last three months or official invitation/guarantee stamped by the

H Note: If approved, the visa is issued according to your roundtrip airline reservation.
O Photocopy of Travel Medical Insurance- Minimum coverage EUR 30,000/ K 14M/USD 50,000, valid in all Schengen States
and covering the entire period of the person's intended stay.
