Bird Watching at Etosha Aoba Lodge
There are wonderful bird watching possibilities all around the Etosha Aoba Lodge. In addition to
the resident bird population the various migratory birds enhance the variety.
The small bird bath next to the terrace of the Lapa attracts many birds. The following list shows
all bird species that could be found in this area. If the species is printed in heavy italics then
that species has been observed here.
The species which are “nearly Namibian endemics” are suffixed with "NNE" whilst the South
African "endemics" are suffixed "SANE". The numbers shown in brackets are the reference
numbers according to "Roberts' Birds of Southern Africa".
