The Spartans have pitchers Jennifer Mynatt (2nd team All-Region in 2004) and Kelly Martin (1st team All-Region in 2004) returning and outfielders Ericka Holtz and Piper Williamson to play defense behind them. Devon Wilson will return to play first base and Joanna Opiekun is back at second; both were on the All-Region 1st Team in 2004. Iowa Western Reivers Coach: Lana Ross (3rd season, 59-40 record) 2004 Record: 38-22 (2-6) The Iowa Western Reivers will look to their seven returners and five AllRegion players for leadership this season. First Team All-Region players include pitcher Nicole Fringer (23 wins, 181 SO, 1.37 ERA, .411 BA, 1.00 field %.), 1st baseman Lori Huelskamp (.384 BA, 73 hits, .991 field %), and outfielder Donica Ritchie (.322 BA, 36 RBIs). 2nd Team All-Region players that will return for one more season are middle infielder Lauren Neal (.231 BA) and catcher Paige Robinson (.299 BA, 34 RBIs).
