Godalming Music Listening Group
Newcomers are very welcome.
Unless shown otherwise, all meetings are held on Friday evenings at
Godalming Baptist Church, Queen Street, Godalming. (Turn left at the
start of the one way section of the High Street).
They start promptly at 8 pm and are open to anyone interested in
listening to and sharing recorded music with others. The music is played
on high-quality equipment, with provision for compact discs, although
other formats may be acceptable by arrangement. Meetings end at about
10 pm.
Whenever possible, we keep to the published programme, but it may be
necessary, on occasion, to change the sequence of programmes, or the
works listed.
There is no formal registration or subscription, but an attendance fee of
£1.50 is charged per meeting to cover the hire of the hall and incidental
expenses such as equipment maintenance. Refreshments are available in
the interval, when there is an opportunity to chat in a relaxed and
friendly atmosphere.
There is a car park just outside the church, free after 7 pm.
The Godalming Music Listening Group is a constituent member of the
West Surrey Region of the Federation of Recorded Music Societies.
