and the question was do the people there
have the same rights as citizens
2-Court rules that just because someone in living
in a territory does not mean they are
automatically citizens
A) Today, people in territories such as
Puerto Rico are considered citizens

B-Muller v. Oregon
1-Oregon law said women could only work 10
hours in a factory or laundry
2-Muller, laundry owner, said the law infringed on
his right to contract
3-Attorneys used sociological evidence to
persuade the Court
4-Court ruled the law was Constitutional
