Weekend Fun & Games RAND and DICE Use the homework coins and one dice. The aim is to collect the correct number of coins to make exactly two Rand. Play with a friend and take turns to roll the dice. Take the correct coin from your pile as you throw the dice. Use the numbers on the dice for these coins: 1 – R1 coin 4 – 20c coin 2 – 5c coin 5 – 50c coin 3 – 10c coin 6 – Miss a turn The winner is the first player to reach exactly two Rand. If taking a coin would put the player over two Rand, the player loses the turn. Variations: Make the game more difficult to find different amounts such as R1.25, R2.40 etc. Set the amount before the game starts. South Africa Numeracy Chair Project NICLE 2015
