Day 1 – Depart Toronto, Chicago, New York in the late afternoon for an overnight flight to Tel Aviv
Day 2 - Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Meet our guide on the way to our hotel we’ll
stop in Jaffa at St. Peter’s Polish church then we’ll have welcome supper and overnight in Tiberius.
Day 3 – Tel-Aviv – Haifa – Akko – Tiberius
After breakfast we’ll drive north along the coastal plain to Caesarea – capital of Judea
under the Romans, visit the Roman Theatre and Aqueduct. Continue to the beautiful
port of Haifa, nestled on the Mediterranean Sea, visit the Carmelite Church “Stella
Maris” on Mount Carmel and then visit the panoramic view on the world famous
Persian Gardens at the Bahai Temple. From Haifa we’ll drive to Akko – capital of the
Crusaders. Dinner and overnight in Tiberius.
Day 4 – Nazareth – Cana – Mount Tabor
Breakfast. Drive to Nazareth via Cana of Galilee. In Nazareth we shall visit the Church of
Annunciation, St. Joseph’s Work Shop
and Mary’s Well. After lunch we continue
to Mount Tabor for a visit to the
Transfiguration Church. On the way to
our hotel we’ll stop in Yardenit a
place where baptismal of Jesus was
performed by John the Baptist in the
Jordan River. Dinner and overnight
in Tiberius.
Day 5 – Tiberius – Capernaum
– Tabha
Breakfast. Drive to Tabha – the
site where the miracle of “fish and
loaves of bread” took place.
Visit the church of Multiplication
and its mosaic floor from the 4th century. Continue to the St. Peter’s Church – “Primate” then on to
Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the sermon. Then up to the mountain to Capernaum to visit
the remains of 2nd century synagogue and St. Peter’s home. After lunch we take a boat ride across the
Sea of Galilee to Tiberius – capital of the Galilee. Visit to St. Peter’s church. Dinner and overnight in
Tiberius.
Day 6 – Tiberius – Qumran – Jerusalem
Breakfast. Drive south along the shores of the Jordan River. Stop in Qumran where the Dead Sea
Scrolls where found in 1947 by a Bedouin boys in the cave. Visit the ancient city of Qumran and then
we’ll proceed to the golden city of Jerusalem. Start from panoramic view from Mount of Olives,
overlooking the walls of the old city and the ancient Jewish cemetery. Drive and visit on Mount Zion
where we will see: The Last Supper Room, Dormition and King David’s Tomb. To Mount of Olives
where we’ll visit the Dom of Ascension and Patter Noster Church, Dominius Flevit Church and Mary’s
Tomb. We end our day with a visit in the Olive’s Gardens with beautiful Basilica of All Nations.
Mass in the basilica. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 7 – Jerusalem – Dad Sea – Massada
Breakfast. Drive through Judean Dessert to the Dead Sea region. Visit Massada –
Ascend Massada by cable car and visit the food storeroom, water irrigation system
and Herod’s Place. Rest on the beach and float on the salty water of the Dead Sea.
Back to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 – Jerusalem – Old City – Bethlehem
Breakfast. Drive to Bethlehem, visit Church of the Nativity. Back to Jerusalem and drive to
Ein Karem – visit the Church of Visitation and St. John the Baptist Church. Tour the old
city of Jerusalem, shopping in the old oriental bazaar – along the Via Dolorosa – Visit
Bethesda – place where Mary was born, visit Western Wall, Golgotha and Basilica of the
Holy Sepulcher. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 9 – Jerusalem
Breakfast. Free day in Jerusalem to do shopping and sightseeing on your own. Farewell dinner and
transfer to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv at 11 PM.
Day 10 – Flying home to USA and CANADA
Itinerary is subject to change. We will be staying at 4 star hotels. 2 meals per day are included. English speaking
experienced local guides all the way. Price of the trip includes all airport and city taxes but it does not include any
individual tips to local guides. Valid passports are required. Our travel group will be going under “Canadian” banner and
we will not venture in to any “conflict” areas. Polimex Travel does 4 of these trips per year so you can feel safe and
confident that you will be in good and experienced hands.
