Individual Awards - Please explain in 500 words or less who you are nominating and why.
An individual who has made a significant impact in advancing the GTC’s mission which is to facilitate market
transformation through:
• Building upon the successes of the Canada and US Green Building Council by reviewing and adapting policies and
products to suit our Southern Ontario area context;
• Promoting and enhancing green building design and construction practices within the region;
• Integrating building industry sectors; and,
• Attracting and retaining an active and diverse membership from across the building industry.
The selection will be based on the significance and degree in which the individual made an impact to advance the
greening of buildings in Southern Ontario. The following five dimensions will be evaluated:
1. Support of one or more of the GTC missions.
2. The benefit of the actions have been received in Southern Ontario.
3. The efforts are beyond the normal scope of the individual’s professional duties.
4. The actions and impact are specific tangible.
5. Although the achievement does not have to be accomplished in the current year it must be relevant in today’s
context.
