About Rydal
Entry Fee & Information
Rydal is a pretty village set in rolling rural countryside.
It was named after a village in England where the poet
William Wordsworth lived. His poem “The Daffodils”
has helped make these lovely flowers popular
throughout the world. Rydal won 2006, 2009 and
2010 Tidy Towns Awards. It has some wonderful heritage
buildings dating from the time Rydal was the terminus of
the Western Railway.
An entry fee of $10 will give you admission to all the
gardens, the music and other attractions. Proceeds from
the garden entries support Lithgow Cancer Support and
Lithgow Uniting Care groups. You can pay the entry fee
at the Information Centre in the Rydal Village or at any
of the country gardens.
The Information Centre is located at the Railway Station,
on the main street.
