Fun in the Snow
HELLO (Traditional)
Hello to the girls,
Hello to the girls,
Hello to the girls,
How do you say hello?
Hello to the boys…hello to the grown-ups…hello everybody!
SNOWMAN CIRCUS (S. McKenna)
On a wintery night after a snowy, snowy day
All the snowmen they sneak away
To a clearing in the woods, under a starry sky
Snowmen sneak away to the Snowman Circus
And they fly
They fly
Slipping and sliding they race in the snow
Sledding down the hills and away they go
They dance and twirl and the snow dust flies
Their scarves make trails for everybody’s eyes
Chorus:
It’s the Snowman Circus, it’s so fine
Snowman Circus it’ll blow your mind
Snowman Circus, it’s so fine
Snowman Circus it’ll blow your mind
JUMPIN’ ON THE BED (Traditional)
Five little monkeys jumpin’ on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said
“No more monkeys jumpin’ on the bed!”
Juggling snowballs is hard to do
But snowmen learn how when they are two
Twirling brooms they fly in the sky
It’s a mighty trick when they fly so high
Chorus
They have a fire that burns so bright
They stand far away so they don’t melt in the
night
For their final act, they take to the sky
And that is when those snowmen fly, they fly
They fly
Chorus
Four little monkeys…
Three little monkeys…
Two little monkeys…
One little monkey…
Chorus:
“No more monkeys jumpin’ on the bed!”
“No more monkeys jumpin’ on the bed!”
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said
“No more monkeys jumpin’ on the bed!”

LAP RAP (S. Eckberg)
When my family goes out for a drive
There’s a special street where we like to ride
It’s the one where the bumps are oh, so high
We go bump diddily, bump diddily, bump, bump, bump
Bump diddily bump, diddily, bump, bump, bump
Bump diddily bump, diddily, bump, bump, bump
We go bump, diddily, bump, bump!
Time for school and we jump on the bus
We’ve got our books and we’ve packed our lunch
Mom and Dad smile as we wave bye bye.
We go bye diddily, bye diddily, bye, bye, bye
Bye diddily, bye diddily, bye, bye, bye
Bye diddily bye, diddily, bye, bye, bye
We go bye, diddily, bye bye!

Here comes the street cleaner sweeping up the street
It helps to keep roads lookin’ really neat.
It’s got a big brush that spins ‘round and ‘round.
It goes wash diddily, wash diddily, wash, wash, wash…
Watch out fire truck speeding on the way!
Hurry up! Hurry up! Get there right away!
Pull out the hoses and let the water spray!
It goes swishhhhhhhhhhhhh…
We go bump diddily, bump diddily,
bump, bump, bump
We go wash diddily, wash diddily,
wash, wash, wash
We go swish diddily, swish diddily,
swish, swish
We go bye diddily, bye diddily, bye bye!
(Swing arms back and forth like a trunk)
(Arms high in the air and then arms around in front like a fat belly)
(Hold up hands but show no fingers)
(Make arms like a trunk, and make elephant noises)

The teeny weeny spider went up the water spout…
GOIN’ TO KENTUCKY (Traditional)
We’re goin’ to Kentucky. We’re goin' to the fair
To meet the senorita with the ribbons in her hair.
I said, shake it, baby, shake it. Shake it if you can.
Shake it like a milkshake, and do the best you can.
Oh, shake it to the bottom. Shake it to the top.
Turn around and turn around until you holler, “Stop!”
1, 2, 1, 2, 3
(3 more times progressively faster)
MY SNOWMAN (D. Gibbone)
I built a happy snowman
With layers, one, two, three
A big one on the bottom
Right where his feet should be
(roll a snowball)
(count on fingers)
(cup both arms down low)
(touch toes)
Another in the middle
His belly round and fat
A smaller one on top
To fit his snowman hat
(cup arms around hips)
(pat belly)
(place hands on side of head)
(pull imaginary hat down over head)
He stood there in the winter’s wind
No shivering cold he felt
But when the sun warmed up the sky
My snowman began to melt
(arms out to side-stand straight and tall)
(hug self and shiver)
(sign for sun)
(slowly melt to the ground)
