2009 marked Schieffer’s 52nd year as a reporter and his 40th year at CBS News. He has received virtually every award in broadcast journalism, but he feels the greatest honor was bestowed upon him in March 2005 when TCU, his alma mater, created the Schieffer School of Journalism Guests to the Seminar Room are greeted with an award case highlighting some of his prestigious awards. The state of the art seminar room includes the conference table shown below. With ample seating for up to 10 and Ethernet hook ups its is a great place to conduct a business meeting or get some work done. The room also includes a large flat screen television to be able to show presentations. The images on the screen can be controlled right from you computer, with the A/V cables already hooked up through the desk. It also has a large white board for more informal meetings, or if you need to get some brainstorming done. With all of the features of the seminar room no matter what your occasion, it can take care of what you need to get done. The Schieffer Seminar Room The Schieffer Seminar Room is a tribute to CBS News anchor and TCU Alum Bob Schieffer. The room has a variety of awards won by Mr. Schieffer as well as a few of his personal mementos that he has contributed. A few of these include press passes from many of the events that he has attended, many photographs of him on location or interviewing presidents. It also includes the only interview by Lee Harvey Oswald’s mother in regards to her sons’ involvement in the JFK shooting. As we can see from all of the memorabilia, Bob Schieffer is a world-renowned journalist and a proud Horned Frog! Interview of Mrs Oswald after JFK shooting.
