It has been over sixty-five years since the first scholarship in our region was awarded, principally through the efforts of
John Faegre and continued by fellow alums Judge Jim Rogers and Tom Keller. It was John’s vision that the Scholarship
Program would help support students from our region to attend Dartmouth. Today, most Dartmouth Clubs across the
US view our Scholarship Fund Program with awe, envy and inspiration!
Area Scholars are selected by the Club Scholarship Committee through an annual review process of eligible candidates.
It is important for Club members, students and parents to understand that these scholarships are awarded only to
students that qualify for aid through the College Financial Aid office. Students that qualify for aid and who don’t
receive a scholarship from these funds, will receive the same financial aid they qualify for through the College
scholarship program.
Thank you for considering an annual gift of $50, $100, or any amount you feel appropriate. Your gift is tax deductible
through a 501c3 organization. Your generosity will earn our deepest thanks and, more importantly, will help support
some of the most promising young people from our region to our beloved “College on the Hill!”
Best wishes for a Happy Holiday Season!
Sincerely,
Douglas P. Fulton ‘85
