INTRODUCTION
Introduction to Securiclad:
Securiclad is a premium modular composite panel system designed and manufactured to protect high risk
areas, from data centres and government infrastructure, to utilities facility control rooms, banks, hazardous
material storage sites and more.
Developed to withstand determined attack from a wide range of tools and firearms, Securiclad is the ideal way
to safeguard a business, facility, goods or home.
Rigorously tested, it is approved for Government use by the Centre for the Protection of National
Infrastructure (CPNI) and provides a high security panel solution to Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 1175
Security Rating (SR) 2, 3 and 4.
The Securiclad panel also holds the prestigious European EN1063 Ballistic Standard BR2, BR3 and BR4
certification.
Securiclad Product Information:
Securiclad is available in a variety of different compositions in order to satisfy a broad range of differing
security requirements.
Its high security level and innovative design means that it is ideal for the construction of secure environments
to protect areas containing servers, sensitive data and documents, hazardous substances, high value items and
pharmaceuticals. The system is quick and easy to install, with minimal disruption. It is entirely bespoke, can be
designed to specification and offers a complete modular solution including wall, ceiling and floor panels –
Certificate Number 142C & 142D.
Securiclad is weather and water resistant, making it suitable for both internal and external applications.
It can be used as a ‘standalone’ wall or partition as well as a complete modular secure enclosure. Securiclad
can be installed in new buildings or retro-fitted to an existing site.
Securiclad is also pre-finished, negating the need for wet or hot trade requirements. This provides a substantial
cost saving in terms of materials, turnaround time and labour when compared to more traditional building
methods.
It is available in a wide range of core types to satisfy insulation and fire rating requirements.
Securiclad can be offered as a turnkey solution, via approved and certified personnel or on a supply-only basis
for contractors who prefer to install the system themselves (using this document). Securiclad can also be
supplied fully assembled as a smaller kiosk, guard hut or small storage space.
Securiclad provides a premium, physical security barrier which can be used wherever there is a requirement to
safeguard high risk areas, protect critical equipment, or provide a last line of defence against acts of terrorism,

LPS 1175:
LPCB Overview
LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) have been setting the standards for loss prevention since the 1800’s
and its standards and approvals are recognised worldwide. The recognition is testimony to the extremely
thorough technical evaluation work and rigorous quality audit process undertaken by the LPCB to ensure the
security products it tests and approves deliver the proven levels of protection.
The LPCB works closely with the government, police, insurers, risk consultants and architects to develop the
standards and approval schemes which ensure security equipment and services deliver the levels of
performance required to protect against criminal and terrorist threats.
Approval to LPCB’s Loss Prevention Standards (LPSs) is specified across multiple sectors, including: education,
finance, healthcare, manufacturing, the public sector, residential, retails and utilities. The standards are also
specified for the protection of critical infrastructure where delivery of specified levels of security performance
is critical.
LPS 1175
LPS 1175 covers a broad scope of physical security products and services of any publicly available standard in
the world. LPS 1175 has been developed over many years by the LPCB, Government, Insurers and Police, and
has rapidly become a core element of physical security specification across many sectors. This standard
consists of a number of security ratings with test requirements of ascending intensity. These are measured in
terms of attack tools and time available to the attacker, and enables specifiers to select products according to
the risks that they and their property face. LPS 1175 can be used in a range of applications, from residential to
critical infrastructure projects.

Fix and secure as construction detail
Ceiling Support
When installed Securiclad ceiling panels offer a limited walk-on facility, however this is suitable for intermittent
personnel use only, and panels should not be used as a working platform.

Overloading should be avoided at any time and personnel should not gather in groups greater than two on any single
panel, particularly adjacent to apertures, which must be suitably framed and supported.

Jumping and bouncing should be also avoided.

In areas subject to frequent use and access areas, Youngman type boards and catwalks should be used as walkways.

Ancillary equipment i.e. pipes, refrigeration equipment, ductwork, etc. should not be supported by the panels; the
support should be taken from the building structure. Installation of equipment is not allowed on unprotected panels.

The need for additional ceiling support for fire rated installations should be discussed with securiclad prior to
installation.

Note: Fire rated installations must be completed by using a bead of ‘Envirograph 62’ intumescent fire proof sealant
applied to the female joint prior to the installation and sealed with a further dead on both faces.

Note: Ceiling to ceiling panel joints are identical to the wall the wall panel flush joints.
Maintenance
Walls can be washed down with fresh water from a hose or bucket. A solution of fresh water and Tepol, or similar non
aggressive detergent, which contains dilute ammonia, may be used to remove heavy deposits from walls, followed by a fresh
water rinse.
Water temperatures should not exceed 60°, with a maximum of 100lbs per square inch.
Stubborn oil or grease stains can be easily removed with white spirit on a soft cloth, followed by an immediate fresh water rinse.
Solvents, cleaners containing abrasives and cleaners in strong concentrations should not be used. Over-cleaning or scrubbing
can be detrimental to the panel surface.
To facilitate cleaning of panels, it is important that the installation of the panel system should prevent moisture collecting in
crevices and joints. This is particularly important at the bottom of the wall panels, where pollutants from cleaning solutions of
from floor soil can cause corrosion problems. This can be achieved by a design which ensures that the edges are folded back and
by sealing the edges with a neutral curing silicone sealant.
Health and Safety
Ensure panels are lifted into place with the correct equipment as they weigh up to 70kg/m². The use of Cool Boy or Oktopus
equipment is advisable for installation.

Securiclad Panels:
SR2
Securiclad SR2 is an alternative panel configuration to the standard Securiclad panel. The reduction of anticutting material to the SR2 level allows the panel to maintain the strength and durability and is designed for
less critical security areas. E.g. Domestic risks 1 & 2 and Minor Commercial risks 2.
Apertures within the walling system/enclosure should only be filled with products which are approved for use
with the Securiclad System.
Products that are approved for use on the Securiclad security panel system are listed on LPCB certification and
www.redbooklive.com
This SR2 option must be installed in accordance to the SR4 instructions using all the fixings and accessories as
described within this manual with the expectations of door sets, refer to LPCB Certificate 142c & 142d.
SR 3 & 4
Securiclad have introduced a number of product upgrades to create a range of panel options. They are all
designed to enhance protection but each has a very unique attribute specific to environment and installation
requirements.
‘Securiclad Core’ is an alternative panel configuration to the standard Securiclad panel. The SR3 and SR4 anticutting material is sandwiched between Mineral Wool/PIR, in the middle of the panel. This combination makes
for a more aesthetically pleasing panel finish yet greater strength and durability of the panel.
