Leadersparticipantswillincreasetheirawareness,belief,andintentiontoengageinthesocialsector.
Why:YoungprofessionalsarethefutureofbusinessandsocietyinPortland.Ourcommunitiesneed
philanthropicleadershiptobuildandmaintainathrivingcitizenry.

Timeline&Participation:ApplicationswillbetakenonarollingbasisthroughDecember15,2016.
ProgramwilllaunchinJanuary2017.Allparticipantsareexpectedtoattendandengageinmonthly
groupactivities,aswellasprovideaminimumof25hoursoftalent-basedvolunteerismtoSVPoverthe
year.AdditionalinvolvementwithSVPanditsnonprofitpartnersishighlyencouraged.
RisingLeadersLearningDaysoccuronthesecondWednesdayofthemonthfrom5:30-8:30pm,
throughouttheyear.
Cost:Anannual,tax-deductiblecontributionof$2,500toSVP.Participantsareencouragedtoseektheir
employer’soranothersponsor’ssupportforaportionofthefinancialcontribution.Allparticipantsare
expectedtocontributeaportionofthecostthemselves.LimitedscholarshipsareavailablefromSVP.

• EngageinSharedLearningParticipateinevents,discussions,andmeetingsthatwillconnectyouwithpeoplewho
shareyourpassionandinterests.You’llwalkawaywithgreaterawarenessofimportantcommunityissuesandtools
tomakegreaterimpactwithyourgiving.
• VolunteerYourTime&TalentApplyyourskillsandexpertisetoshort-termorongoingprojectswithSVPnonprofit
partners,committees,andInitiatives.
