What to Wear to Class:
At Longmeadow Dance School, we like to make things easy for you! We have all types of dance shoes required
for our classes available for you right at the dance studio! Sizing kits are available to ensure the proper size is
ordered for your dancer. Visit us at open house to be sized for your shoes. We can also size your dancer during
the month of September.
If you are purchasing shoes on your own, please make note our requirements/suggestions Ballet shoes should be pink leather with no drawstring
 Jazz shoes should be black leather and slip on style (no laces)
 Tap shoes should be black leather and slip on or buckle style (no laces)

All shoes will be checked by the instructor the first week of class. Please do not allow your dancer to wear their
dance shoes outside and be sure to save your receipt (just in case)!
Class Rates:
30 minute class: $330/year
45 minute class: $400/year – Enjoy a $95 savings
60 minute class: $450/year- Enjoy a $210 savings
90 minute class: $675/year – Enjoy a $315 savings – BEST VALUE!
To help reduce fees, cash or check (payable to LPRD) is preferred. Credit is accepted and a 4-month payment
plan is available to all through the Parks and Recreation office with a credit or debit card.
Costume Deposits:
Sparkles, glitter and sequins galore! Costume ordering is very exciting for instructors and students. Your
dancer will be measured and their costume(s) will be ordered this fall. All costume deposits are due at the time
of registration, as these fees are not included in the class rates. Please see the class descriptions to determine
how many routines your dancer’s class participates in. Any remaining costume balances will be due in March.
Your dancer’s beautiful costume(s) arrive in the spring!
1 routine in the Recital = $25 costume deposit
2 routines in the Recital = $50 costume deposit
3 routines in the Recital = $75 costume deposit
4 routines in the Recital = $100 costume deposit
Please note: Recital tickets are not included in the class rate. Tickets will be available for purchase in the spring.

Last day to withdraw from classes and receive a prorated refund for the remaining classes of the year minus
a $25 withdrawal fee is Friday October 21, 2016. If you do not withdraw from classes by this date, you will be
charged in full.
