1. INTRODUCTION
These instructions cover assembly procedure for the
shield and cable clamp assemblies listed in Figure 1.

If a shield is to be used with “M” Series accessories
other than listed, refer to the instruction sheet
packaged with the connector for the appropriate
attachment procedure.
Dimensions in this instruction sheet are in metric
units [with U.S. customary units in brackets].
Figures are not drawn to scale.
Reasons for reissue of this instruction sheet are
provided in Section 4, REVISION SUMMARY.
2. ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE (Refer to Figure 1)
1. Attach one shield half to the connector block
using two No. 4-40×3/8-in. fillister head machine
screws (customer supplied) or TE guide pins and
sockets (available separately).
2. Bundle the wires so that they will pass through
the cable clamp.
3. Attach the other shield half to the connector block
as described in Step 1. Make sure all wires fit
through the cable clamp.
4. Leaving some slack in the wires between the
cable clamp and the connector block, attach and
tighten the cable clamp screws.
3. REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR
The shield and cable clamp assemblies are not
repairable. Replace any defective or damaged
assemblies.
