Music for Brass!
Livgardets Dragonmusikkår, under the direction of
Martin Riessen, perform various works for brass.
Livgardets Dragonmusikkår is one of the Armed
Forces’ three regular bands and one of only a few
bands in the entire world that perform on horseback. However, the horses will not be participating
in this performance.

well-known anime series. The audience will experience a mixture of eastern and western harmonies
reminiscent videogame and film music with special
guest, Kohei Tanaka, the Japanese composer behind
the music for such films as One Piece and Dragonball.

The Royal Academic Orchestra will perform Igor

Igor Stravinsky’s life and music.

Lecture: How the Rite of Spring was
Composed
Peter Hill, researcher and pianist from Sheffields
University, joins us as our next guest lecturer. Hill
researches contemporary music and has written the
book Stravinsky: Rite of Spring (Cambridge University Press). This lecture will describe how Stravinsky
composed the Rite of Spring.

of the Rite of Spring

The Royal Academic Orchestra performs Igor
Stravinsky’s modernist ballet the Rite of Spring,
which had its premier 100 years ago, on May 29,
1913.
The orchestra performs for the first time at Stenhagen Culture Center, 7:00 pm

Spring and Beethoven’s 7th Symphony
The Academic Orchestra performs Igor Stravinsky’s
modernist ballet the Rite of Spring, which had
its premiere 100 years ago on May 29, 1913.
Beethoven’s 7th Symphony will also be performed.
