Extended Day
The Extended Day Program provides care for elementary school aged children before and after school, on school
release days, and during the summer. Children are provided opportunities to take part in a variety of group and
individual arts and crafts, games, and physical activities and to explore math, science, and literacy through hands on
learning. Registration is now available on-line and in the school office.

Volunteers
White Bear Lake Schools follow volunteer guidelines requiring a background check of all volunteers that work
with our students. WBL Area Schools have a secure, online application process for volunteers. Please contact
the school office at 653-2809 to request the email link to process your background check online. If you do not
have access to the internet, a paper background check application can be sent home with your child. If you
have already completed a background check, please contact the office to verify that it has not expired.
Attention Lakeaires Families!
If you happen to buy Tyson products, please send the following box or bag sections to
school with your child. Each one is worth $.24! There is a collection bin in the school
entryway. Thank you!
If you would like to meet with school personnel before or after school, we
encourage you to call ahead for an appointment. We can better serve you, if we
are expecting your visit.

Lakeaires will no longer be collecting Kemps and Land O Lakes milk tops.
To receive a message regarding the current status of White Bear Lake Area Schools for a particular day
call the “Emergency School Closing Hotline” at 651-407-7540. This hotline will only be used for school
closings, late starts and early dismissals. We will not be using it for messages regarding late buses or any
other transportation concerns. We will also be using the School Messenger program to notify parents.
If school is in session, but there are poor driving conditions, the Transportation Department will run all buses
as scheduled if at all possible. The only time a route will be altered is if a road is impassable and an alternate
road must be taken. If a route must be altered and a stop location moved, the Transportation Department will
attempt to contact the parents at the stop and inform them of the closest location where their children can
catch the bus. Parents should not send their children to the bus stop if they believe that the road conditions
jeopardize the safety of the students.
If you have any questions regarding this information,
please call the Transportation Department at 651-407-7538.
