Terms and conditions:
Students & group size:
A group is a minimum of 10 passengers traveling from the same origin to
the same destination. Students who have reached their 12th, but not yet their
25th birthday are eligible if they are attending a German American Partnership
Program. A teacher and/or a chaperone are eligible if the conditions are met.
Proof of GAPP participation is required.
Deposits:
Lufthansa requires a $100 deposit fee per passenger 14 days after the group
is confirmed.
Ticketing deadline:
Payment and ticketing 30 days prior to departure.
Deviations:
Date deviations: A maximum of 20% deviations are permitted with the same
routing, deviations over 20% would be an additional fee of $50. Routing
deviations: Routing deviations are not permitted at the GAPP fare and a
published fare will be charged.
Minimum/maximum:
Travel from inbound transatlantic sector must commence no earlier than 21
days after departure and the maximum stay is 3 months.
Combinations:
Only SOJ permitted. Fares are also available from other departure cities in
combination with United, Continental and Air Canada.
Routing:
Valid on Lufthansa, United, Continental and Air Canada operated flights only.
One transfer permitted in Europe and two transfers are permitted in the
United States in each direction.
Ticketing:
etix™ may be issued for Lufthansa groups and airlines that have an agreement
with Lufthansa. etix™ may not be issued using passive or ghost bookings.

All tickets must be issued on Lufthansa 220 ticket stock. Award ticket:
Applicable from/to Lufthansa and United gateways only. One free ticket is
permitted for every 15 or more paying students traveling as a single group
movement. Free tickets can only be used for an accompanying student.
Lufthansa must issue the free ticket. Taxes and fuel surcharges must be collected
for the free ticket.
Teacher’s ticket:
The Student fare may be used for the teacher if the following conditions are met:
1) Minimum of 10 students traveling 2) Teacher must travel with the group.
Chaperone’s ticket:
For each group of 10 students traveling together, 1 chaperone may travel at
the Student fare, in addition to the teacher. For every additional 10 students,
1 additional chaperone may travel at the Student fare. One teacher or chaperone
must travel on each transatlantic sector with the group.
Sales restrictions:
Extension of ticket validity is not permitted. Note: Sales restrictions/Sequential
use of flight coupons. This fare is only valid if the flights are taken in the
booked sequence. Otherwise the fare will be recalculated based on the actual
flight routing.
Taxes and fuel:
Additional taxes and fuel surcharges are applicable on the day of ticket issuance
and must be collected by the travel agent. No agent commission.
Cancellations:
Cancellations before departure are subject to a $150 penalty fee.
No show: If passenger does not show up for the flight ticket is completely
non-refundable.
Change fee:
Before and after departure permitted at $100 per change. Changes must be
made prior to the date of the originally scheduled flight. As a result of the change
in travel dates, any and all additional charges (such as weekend surcharges,
fees, taxes, increase in fare level, etc.) must also be collected.
