Sequencing Songs
These songs are great for introducing sequencing skills. Using well known songs, kids are asked to put the cards
in order according to the song. Singing the song as you go makes it easier to put them in the right order.
Two of the songs include the correct spelling of words such as, HELLO and BINGO.
You can also use these as a visual cue for Fill-In-The-Blank singing. For example, “Twinkle, twinkle, little _____”
and hold up the card with the star.
Songs included here are:
Hello, Everybody
• Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
• Itsy Bitsy Spider
• Are You Sleeping
• Row Your BoatLondon Bridge
• Mr. Sun
• Pat-a-cake
• BINGO
•

Sequencing Songs
Hello everybody, hello everybody, hello everybody H - E - L - L - O
Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are.
Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.
Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are.
The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
and the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again.
Are you sleeping, Are you sleeping,
Brother John? Brother John>
Morning bells are ringing, Morning bells are ringing,
Ding ding dong. Ding ding dong.
Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.
London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down. London bridge is falling down, my fair lady.
Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, please shine down on me.
Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, hiding behind the tree.
These little children are asking you, to please come out so we can play with you.
Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, please shine down on me.
Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake baker’s man, bake me a cake as fast as you can.
Roll it, pat it, mark it with a B. Put it in the oven for baby and me.
There was a farmer, had a dog, and Bingo was his name-oh!
B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O, and Bingo was his name-oh!
