Perinton Soccer Leagues
April showers bring May flowers...and spring soccer season at Perinton
Rec! New this spring we are also offering an Adult Co-Ed Soccer league.
Grab a few friends to make a team and join us Tuesday nights to play
soccer on modified size fields. Game play is 6v6 including the goalie. For
registration details, check out page 43 in our spring brochure. Registration
closes April 26. Additionally, our traditional Youth Soccer league for
ages 6-12 gets underway shortly with registration closing April 8. See
page 19 of our spring brochure for details. For more information on our
soccer programs, please contact Diana Weber - [email protected].
Easter Event Follow Up
It was a beautiful but chilly morning for our annual egg hunt! The two
hunts (for ages 5&6 and ages 7&8) were held on the soccer fields at
Center Park. Peri the Penguin stopped by before the hunts to give high
fives and take pictures. The shining sun encouraged a great turnout with
approximately 120 children between the two age groups. Many thanks to
the Helping Hands Club from Minerva DeLand for volunteering time to
hide over 1,000 eggs for this special event.
Mike Sozio
Mike Sozio has been the custodian
for the Recreation and Parks
Department since the days of the
Crosman Center. His primary roles
are general maintenance and room
set ups for our programs and
events. Mike is a family man with
two children and enjoys bowling. If
you are a regular visitor at the
Perinton Community Center, you
most likely have seen him working
to make sure our building is clean.
The next time you see him around
the halls, don’t hesitate to say
hello.
