Art 1 1 point house – dormer roof over contrast doorway. Dormer windows are windows in the attic on the slope side. They are on the face side of the house so are squares or rectangles. 1. Draw a square or rectangle for the left dormer window. 2. Find the center of the window by using an X. VP 4 3. Draw a light line from the center of the X up to the top of the dormer roof. 4. Draw the triangle of the roof. 5. Draw and orthogonal guide line from the top of the window to the VP. 6. Using the slope of the roof, draw a parallel line to intersect the orthogonal line. This intersection is the window box. 7. Firm in the lines. Erase the extra parts of lines if they are too long. 6 5 VP 8. Roof line of small dormer window: Draw an orthogonal line from the top of the dormer roof to the VP. Parallel lines 9 8 VP 9. Draw a line that is parallel to the small roof triangle that intersects the orthogonal line. 10. Firm in the lines. Erase the parts that are too long. 11. Draw another small dormer window on the right side. VP
