STEEPED IN HISTORY The idea of a cross-country road trip to find out just how fuel-efficient commercial trucks can be has been kicked around for decades. But it has never happened, until now. We are assembling an All Star Team of the best drivers in North America. Their equipment will be outfitted with innovative fuel-and-money-saving technologies that are changing the trucking industry for good. Hauling real freight and using different efficiency technologies, the fleets will work together to show how they achieve the best fuel economy in today’s highway tractors during a six-stage national tour. HIGH VISIBILITY • Viewers will experience the passion of the grueling six-day cross-country haul through our Gran Turismo style virtual race monitor station, equipped with live in-cab video and virtual fuel and technology monitoring, as well as truck, driver, and technology data. • Each leg will celebrate and report on the average mpg of our All Star Team, as well as the dollars and emissions saved. • Experts will provide commentary on state-of-the-art truck design, and what it takes to get the most miles out of a gallon of diesel fuel. • Guest celebrity hosts will provide live updates across online channels, so that anyone anywhere can catch a glimpse of the excitement. • Public announcements along the way by fleets, technology providers, and industry stakeholders will demonstrate their commitment to improving the fuel efficiency of the North American fleet. • “Chase the Race” social media race monitor (500,000 viewers expected) will be a one-stopshop for all content. • Trucks and drivers’ outfits will showcase the Run on Less brand. • Each leg will enjoy live entertainment, workshops, and exhibits—including an interactive in-truck expo, where consumers can see and feel how products travel across the country before arriving in their homes.
