Ms. Karen Cheah Yee Lynn

Karen has been in active legal practice for 20 years since being called to
the Malaysian Bar in October 1995 and is the current Honorary Secretary
of the Malaysian Bar. She was recently awarded the ATC Outstanding
Alumni Award in 2016.
With her extensive experience in a broad area of law, she is regularly
consulted on contentious and litigious matters. Karen is passionate in her
quest for knowledge, the betterment of the Bar and the legal profession,
and has an ardent interest in current public interest issues.
Karen graduated with a degree in law from the University of London in
1993, and thereafter obtained the Malaysian Certificate in Legal Practice
in 1994. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1995. Karen was
headhunted by the prestigious and established Kuala Lumpur firm of
Chooi & Co. and joined them as a partner on 1 March 2016.
She has appeared at the Court of Appeal and Federal Court; and has
several cases reported in the Malaysian law journals.
