Living Art Room - The Alpina Gstaad

Living Art Room
Develop your creative side by putting your thoughts, feelings and ideas into
painting, contributing to one truly extraordinary art piece.
Going beyond the expected, The Alpina Gstaad has created a unique platform
for art, beauty and freedom of expression since opening in 2012. With the
collection continuously evolving and the frequent release of new and innovative
projects, 2015 sees acclaimed Swiss artist, Pierre Keller, join the hotel as its art
advisor.
On June 7, we officially inaugurated the Living Art Room as well as our Summer
art exhibition with contemporary sculptures by artist Fabrice Gygi.
All the artworks in the “Living Art Wall” will be sold and the money collected given
to the foundation Marie Louise Mimran.
Room concept: The canvases displayed in the room are connected to the
surroundings of The Alpina Gstaad. The triangle canvas is associated with the
mountains, the round canvas with the local cheese, the rectangular canvas with
the traditional Swiss paintings with the cows coming up the mountains in
Summer and the square canvas with The Alpina Gstaad & its logo.
This special room offers you the possibility to leave a small imprint on our “Living
Art Wall” such as Picasso’s dove and your signature.
If you wish to paint your own artwork, you will find all the necessary material in
your room to use on a complimentary base.
A detailed list of all amenities as well as the pricing menu, in case you wish to
buy the painting equipment, is displayed in your room.
