MAKE A SPLASH AT BIG4 MARION HOLIDAY PARK THIS SUMMER
Visitors to BIG4 Marion Holiday Park have a new way to cool off this summer, with the opening of a brand new $400,000
water park. Custom designed for BIG4 Marion Holiday Park, the new facility opened just in time to offer relief from the
blistering South Australian summer heat.
Joining a number of BIG4 Holiday Parks already boasting state-of-the-art aquatic playgrounds, the water park at BIG4
Marion Holiday Park is the largest slide activity centre in the Southern Hemisphere and the tallest in the world built by the
company Water Play, with one of the slides more than three metres high.
The new water park, located just 12km out of Adelaide, boasts three slides, a huge dump bucket and water cannons.
Suitable for all ages, the water park has ground sprays for younger children and is a zero-depth complex, offering parents
peace of mind.
Jade Sendy, marketing manager at BIG4 Marion Holiday Park, is enthusiastic about the new water park and expects to see
a boost in booking numbers, particularly from families over the summer months.
“We have received an overwhelming response from our guests, young and old. The slides and the dump bucket have been
the favourites amongst guests so far,” said Jade.
“The small wide slide is also loved by the toddlers and parents as they can safely head down the slide together. It's just
fantastic popping outside everyday and seeing all the kids smiling faces,” added Jade.
The new water park complements the park’s existing family-friendly facilities including a 45 metre outdoor lagoon
swimming pool, indoor heated swimming pool, toddler pool, jumping pillow and indoor tennis court.
It took builders three months to complete the water park but they won’t be getting much of a break now that it’s complete
as construction is already underway for another park development. A series of two storey poolside apartments are rising
from foundations at the moment with a completion date pencilled in for Easter 2014. Guests will be able to hire the
apartments as separate levels or book out both levels for large groups.
