BACKGROUND: STAR PARTY IS AN ANNUAL EVENT HELD EVERY SEMESTER AT COLLEGE OF
THE CANYONS’ CANYON COUNTRY CAMPUS. THE PURPOSE OF THE EVENT IS TO ENCOURAGE
THE EDUCATION OF STEM FIELDS AT ALL LEVELS OF EDUCATION. THE EVENT IS CHILD
FRIENDLY AND PROVIDES A FAMILY ATMOSPHERE WHERE PARTICIPANTS CAN OBSERVE
SCIENCE EXHIBITIONS AND HAVE A FUN TIME. STAR PARTY IS SCHEDULED IN THE FALL FOR
FRIDAY OCTOBER 16TH, 2015 FROM 7:00-9:30 PM.

Approval of the COC Culinary Club
BACKGROUND:
The purpose of the COC Culinary Club is to promote interest in the culinary programs
offered at College of the Canyons. The COC Culinary Club provides a fun and energetic
learning environment for students, including but not limited to, exploring a variety of
culinary experiences, fundraising, culinary competitions, and networking. The COC
Culinary Club has met all of the requirements to become a club including submitting the
appropriate paperwork, a constitution, an advisor, and has met with the Office of Student
Development.
