October, 2016
Welcome back or welcome to
BMS, 7th or 8th graders! We,
the eighth grade media class,
are all excited to hear what
you like and dislike about our
newsletter. We are all glad to
have so many new students
here at Bullard Middle School!
We have important events
and information to keep you
up to date on what’s
happening here at BMS. First
things first...I’m sure you’ve
all heard about the Blackout
Pep Rally. It’s on October 7,
2016. Make sure you can
make it because it sure is
something you don’t want to
miss! The high school
will be performing at this
amazing event! Also, there
will be a concession stand, so
don’t feel bad if you stuff
yourself silly with all the
delicious foods and snacks
they provide! If you’re ever
thirsty, help yourself to the
cool, refreshing beverages.
Everything at the stand will be
priced. Have fun!
Cancer
Awareness
October is almost
here, and that
means
Cancer Awareness
month is also here. We have
special events for going pink
all around the school. Don’t
forget to show some spirit for
cancer-fighters all around the
world. We ask that you wear
Issue No.1
all throughout the month so
you won’t have trouble
knowing what to wear
during the month. We'll be
selling bracelets and other
cool stuff during the cool
events taking place right here
at BMS! We hope you enjoy
your time at our school, 7th
graders! Don’t forget to
wear pink! We’ll keep you
up to date on each event.
Red Ribbon
Week
Red Ribbon Week starts
October 17th to 24th. The
week overlaps Cancer
Awareness Month, but we
will adjust the schedule to
make everything work, so no
twirlers,
drill
team,
cheerleaders, and band
and show awareness of Red
Ribbon Week! We Bullard
Panthers are known to be
drug-free and that is
something to be proud of! All
it takes is one time to get
addicted. It is really worth it?
Think about it?

AROUND OUR
SCHOOL!
___________________________
Our school has a long line
of events that are coming up
through the year and these
events are special to a bunch
of people! From the halls to
the cafeteria, the school
displays pictures and cool
paintings in the halls.
This picture shows the
cafeteria where all the seventh
and eighth graders meet in the
morning. Like the spirit
window contest, the
beautiful designs are a true
pink to raise awareness. We
will have the event ongoing
gym and new hallways this
year! The volleyball team
practices in the new gym for
the volleyball games that they
are having this year. The new
gym is also used for the bus
riders at the end of the day.
