INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING: April 10 – April 18, 2017 A full time 1.0 FTE (35 hours per week) PERMANENT position exists for a: Information Technologist (IT) Base office: Bracebridge Purpose of the Position: The Information Technologist (IT) has responsibility to support the development, installation and maintenance of information technology systems including local and wide area networks, security management, mail systems and overall management of agency hardware and software. The incumbent will be included in the planning, development, and implementation of information technology projects, policies, and practices. The incumbent will work closely with agency staff to evaluate user needs and system functionality and ensure operational needs are met. If you have: Computer Systems Technician or higher education with Comp TIA A+ certification preferred Network + and/or Security + an asset Canadian Information Processing Society (CISP) – Information Systems Professional (ISP) designation an asset Practical experience and knowledge of managing and maintaining information technology systems gained by at least one (1) years of related experience that enables the applicant to; analyze and resolve information technology problems through the application of systematic approaches and diagnostic tools implement and administer computer systems, networking solutions and security solutions install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade components of computer systems install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade components of networks follow, monitor, and document data storage procedures designed to ensure the integrity of information provide efficient and effective technical support to end users of the network apply scripting tools and languages to automate routine tasks facilitate successful completion of projects by applying the project management principles A valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license and a safe and reliable means of transportation Ability to work evenings or weekends.
