! Drama Scholarship Audition Application Instructions 1. Please prepare a 10-minute Presentation. Presentations can include any of the following elements: • Monologue • Dramatic Reading • Musical Theatre Scene 2. Please have a Personal Resume available to give the adjudicator. Elements to be included in portfolio: • Cover Letter (400 to 1,600 words) explaining the reasons you would like to receive a NU drama scholarship. Explain how you will be able to contribute to the drama program at Northwest University. • References. Submit names, titles and email address of personal references. References will be asked to confirm your experiences, your ability to work with others, emotional maturity, dramatic talent and general character. • Experience. A list of all the dramatic works you have performed in-please include the part that you played. You may also include any works in which you participated in the stage crew/directed etc. • Additional Information. Students may add portfolio material such as experience, photos or other artwork, newspaper clippings or reviews of performance. • Resume materials must not exceed 4 pages. 3. Please be on-time, dress appropriately (business casual attire), and be prepared to present your material. Remember that this is a professional audition, and you are expected to be prepared. Scholarship Recipient Requirements: This is a renewable scholarship. All recipients must be in good academic standing with the University, which means maintaining a GPA of 2.7 or better. All recipients must also participate in at least one drama production (stage crew is acceptable), and take part in or attend the Drama Improv Club shows. Failure to meet these requirements will result in loss of the scholarship.
