animals. We are seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join a multidisciplinary
R&D team in a fast-paced, challenging environment advancing novel cell-based
therapies through development to market. The successful candidate will
contribute scientific research and leadership to the development of Likarda’s celltherapy for diabetes in companion animals.
This position will primarily focus as a laboratory-based scientist, and requires
strong experimental skills in cell biology, stem cell biology, tissue engineering
regenerative medicine, or cell-based therapies, preferably with experience in
development of regulated cell-therapies. The candidate will also provide
leadership to a growing team of scientists and technicians as the team brings
products through the development pipeline. The candidate will also work closely
with management to determine pipeline R&D efforts leading to commercially
successful products.

 Plan, implement and provide scientific guidance and leadership for research
and development of cells for therapies for companion animals.
 Bench-level, hands-on participation in applying stem cell and other
customary cell culture methods to develop, maintain and expand cellular
solutions. This includes evaluating and translating literature into standard
operating procedures and new applications.
 Develop and oversee quality measures for eventual cellular transplants.
 Develop and apply cell maintenance and cell differentiation protocols that
can be used to create disease specific cell treatments.
 Apply automation and other cell scaling methodologies to convert lab scale
to market scale.
 Communicate with project teams and colleagues effectively and work well
