SE5000 Programming Sheet
PROGRAMMING PARAMETERS FOR FITTING THIS VEHICLE WITH AN SE5000 KRM SERIES TACHOGRAPH.
Note. Read the parameters of the tachograph to be replaced, and note all connections to the tachograph,
paying particular attention to Vpulse, dual axle configuration, D8 serial data, Revs input etc.
The below vehicle settings are the default vehicle settings which should be applied. However, individual
vehicle specifications may vary.
Default setting for D6 outputs that can be switched between ISO & Open collector (o/c) is ISO.
The vehicle must be calibrated in an approved manner after fitting.
The road speed limiter must be calibrated after a replacement tachograph is fitted.
The illumination of the KRM series tachograph can be changed between White & Green, please select the
colour best suited to the vehicle illumination.

1. Locate the original Speed Sensor.
2. Disconnect the cable by removing the locking pin which can be unclipped and slide out
then cable tie the connector out of the way.
3. Remove the original speed sensor by unscrewing the 6mm bolt.
4. Locate the Stoneridge Adaptor in the kit
provided.
5. Apply gasket seal to the adaptor as
shown .
6. Install Stoneridge Adaptor ensuring
security screw provided is fitted securely.

13. Locate the fuse box to the bottom right
hand side of the steering wheel.
14. Remove the facia around the fuse box by
popping out the securing clips.
15. Use the following wires to power the tachograph:Red wire marked 1 goes to connector A1
of tachograph through a 1 amp fuse,
marked 5.
Alternatively - The feed for the ignition and
power can be taken from the radio, with
the feed for the illumination and ground
taken from the cigarette lighter. Ensure a
suitable 1 amp fuse is used.
Green/White wire marked 2 goes to
connector A2 of tachograph.
Red/Yellow wire marked 3 goes to
connector A2 of tachograph.
Black/Red wire marked 4 goes to
connector A5 & A6 of tachograph.

16. Connect a wire from pin D6 on the tachograph to the White/Blue wire on the connector behind the cigarette lighter to drive
the speedometer.
17. The tachograph can now be connected
and installed.
18. The tachograph is now ready for calibration.
19. The D6 on the tachograph must be set
to Speedometer using the MKII Programmer and the Speedo output factor
should be set so that the speedometer
matches the tachograph.
