Description:
Battery:
The series EFT3 is a central inverter system
for emergency lighting applications. The
series EFT3 is FAST TRANSFER, achieving
transfer from normal AC input to battery output
within 2 milliseconds and will power both
normally on and off lighting loads including
incandescent, fluorescent, and HID.
Sealed maintenance free Lead
Calcium is standard. NICAD and Long
Life Lead are also available. Lead
Calcium batteries are front access style
for easy installation and maintenance.
Automatic low voltage disconnect is
standard.
Compatible Lamp Sources:
Environmental:
Incandescent, fluorescent, and HID.
Normally ON and OFF loads,
including cold starts.
< 10,000 feet above sea level, without
derating. Less than 95% noncondensing humidity. Ambient
operating temperatures range from
32 F to 95 F.
Construction:
Enclosure is NEMA Type 1, 14 gauge steel,
powder coated finish. Unit has 2 front hinged
doors with security locks.
Performance:
Inverter unit is a standby UPS type,
pulse width modulation achieving
transfer to emergency in 2 ms, fast
enough to power incandescent,
fluorescent, or HID lamp sources. Unit
run time is 90 minutes standard, other
run times are available, consult factory.
Unit includes a maintenance bypass
switch.
Electrical:
Input and output voltage is 120/208 VAC or
277/480VAC 3 phase, 4 wire, +/- 10 %.
All units have an input circuit breaker.
Harmonic distortion is < 10 %.
Power factor is .5 lag/lead.
Metering:
The control panel is a microprocessor controlled 2X20 LCD
display with touchpad. Display
shows input/output voltage,
battery voltage, battery &
output current, output VA and
temperature. Unit includes an
RS232 port (DB9) and is
programmable for monthly and
yearly testing. Display
maintains a memory record of
the 50 most recent failure
events.
