EVENT CATEGORIES
The tournament will be open to adults (40+ by December 31, 2017). Players
can compete in only one age category in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles
and Mixed Doubles. Age groups will be 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. Age groups
will be determined by the age of the youngest doubles player.
Registration Deadline is April 26, 2017
*Unless Tournament reaches capacity prior to deadline.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Teams will not be seeded. Brackets will be determined by random draw.
The format for all brackets will be double elimination. Preliminary matches
will consist of 1 game to 15 points (win by 2). All Medal matches are best 2
games out of 3 to 11 points. The “if necessary” match will be 1 game to 21.
Tournament will be governed by the official USAPA rules and regulations.
Tournament committee reserves the right to modify the tournament format
as needed.
EQUIPMENT USED
Green Jugs Indoor Balls (USAPA Approved). The tournament will be played
indoors on a wood floor.
POLICIES
Registration forms must include partner’s name at the time of registration.
Teams are not registered in the tournament until both players have completed registration. Team spots will not be held. Players may not enter two
age groups in the same event. Events can be canceled, combined and restricted at the discretion of the tournament committee.
CANCELATIONS
Cancelations will be accepted only from the canceling player in writing. No
refunds will be given for cancelations. It is the player’s responsibility to find
a replacement partner. All decisions of the Tournament Committee are final.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The event format and schedule will be released one week prior to tournament.
Players may need to be available on ALL tournament days between 8:30 a.m.
and 5:30 p.m. depending on final tournament schedule. A player social event
is scheduled for Thursday, May 11. More information about the social will be
provided after registration. Practice will be available on Wednesday May 10
from 12-5 p.m. Primary player check-in is May 10 from 12-5 p.m. or starting at
8:00 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

SPORTSMANSHIP
This tournament is designed to provide a competitive recreation opportunity
that promotes sportsmanship, fitness and fun. Anyone seen as expressing
poor sportsmanship toward other players, volunteers or staff may be removed
from the tournament and/or forfeit a match. This is at the discretion of the
Tournament Committee. All decisions by the committee are final.
