The show Committee reserves the right to add, cancel or combine any classes in accordance with NYSSHA rules. 2. It’s strongly suggested that the first 4 classes be pre-entered. Classes must be entered two (2) classes in advance. 3. Tack changes must be reported to the secretary stand two (2) classes ahead of schedule. Time limit of no more than three (3) minutes between classes, including tack changes. 4.Classes with ten (10) or less entries will be sweepstaked. Classes with less than three Entries may be canceled. 5.Please refer to the NYSSHA rulebook regarding eligibility in the Leadline, 11 & under W/T/J, Beginner Rider and Academy classes being offered at this show. It is the entrant’s responsibility to know these rules and enter the correct classes. 6. Health Paperwork: All horses on the show grounds must have a legible, current (2006 or 2007) coggins and (09/06 or later) rabies certificate available for inspection. 7. All classes are open to everyone meeting the criteria listed for the class - you need not be an affiliated club member to participate! NYSSHA rules will be observed in all NYSSHA pointed classes. Rulebooks are available online at www.nyssha.org or at the entry booth for inspection. For more information or questions call show secretary Sharon Tallmadge 518-853-3859.. 8. The show committee reserves the right to change, move, add or cancel classes as warranted. 9. Classes must be paid for as entered or a blank check left at the entry booth. Each horse-rider combination will be issued a different number, and each horse-rider combination must use a separate entry form. Each entry form must have the release statement signed by the exhibitor or a parent or legal guardian if the exhibitor is under 18 years of age. Failure to wear the correct number in a class or to sign the release statement will result in disqualification and forfeiture of entry fees for that class. 10. Horses staying overnight must be stalled. No horses are allowed on grounds before 6:00 p.m. Friday 7th September 2007. Stabling by direction of the show office. No bedding provided. Stalls used for any purpose must be paid for. Tags will be issued at time of payment, and will be checked throughout the show. Stalls found in use without payment must be vacated immediately. 11.A $10.00 grounds fee per day will be charged for each unstabled horse. This fee is per horse/per day 12. Sunday’s Mini-Horse and Trail classes will be held over an outside course with a separate judge during a set time frame which will be announced. 13. Over Fence Classes: Schooling will begin approximately 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the evening session on Saturday. Up to 4 horses at a time will school in 10-minute sessions, and back numbers must be worn. 14. All Dogs on the show grounds must be leashed at all times. If a dog is found to be unleashed, the owner and dog may be asked to leave the show grounds. For safety purposes, dogs should not be near the show ring or gate areas. Owners of aggressive or nuisance dogs will be asked to remove them from the show grounds. No entry fees will be refunded. 15. Class 65 rules will be post day of show. No post entry fee. Entry Fees/Paybacks: $9 per class/$15, $10, $5 and 6 ribbons (less than 10 will be sweepstaked) $7 per class/Award & six ribbons $5 per class/Award & ribbons for all 2. Pre-Entries: To avoid the post-entry fee, mail your completed entry form (including all release signatures) entering every class that you think you might exhibit in, coggins & rabies for each horse, a check for $10.00, and postmark no later than September 01, 2006. You will only have to pay for those classes you actually exhibit be charged for classes that they do not exhibit in and fail to scratch our of at the show office at least 2 classes prior. The $10 pre-entry special charge will be applied to your show bill. If you don't come to the show, the $10 will be retained as an entry charge. A signed blank check will need to be left at the show office to insure payment of remaining fees before a back number will be released. 3. Post Entries: Any additions or changes to classes and/or exhibitors made after postmark deadline of September 01 2007 will incur a $1.00 per class fee in addition to the regular entry fee. 4. Box Stalls: Stalls will be available from Friday evening. No bedding provided. Stalls used for any purpose must be paid for. Tags will be issued at time of payment, and will be checked throughout the show. All stalls will be assigned by the office. Stalls found in use without payment must be vacated immediately. 5. Camper Hook-ups: Hook-ups will be available on a first come/first served basis for $40.00 for the weekend or $20.00 per night. Please pay for hook-up and obtain paid tag before hooking up. Post Entries accepted day of show The undersigned hereby acknowledges that s/he is fully aware that participation in a horse show or other equine event involves inherent risk of life due to the behavior of the animals involved and natural conditions. The undersigned hereby waives the right to institute a lawsuit for damages against or to recover damages from the NEW YORK STATE SADDLE HORSE ASSOCIATION or RUGMAKER’S RIDING CLUB based on any injury that occurs due to such inherent risk. The undersigned also affirms that s/he is solely responsible for choosing and maintaining the horse and equipment that the undersigned uses and that the undersigned waives any claim for damages against the NEW YORK STATE SADDLE HORSE ASSOCIATION and RUGMAKER’S RIDING CLUB due to an equipment failure or defect. The undersigned further acknowledges the NEW YORK STATE SADDLE HORSE ASSOCIATION and RUGMAKER’S RIDING CLUB are not responsible for the conduct of other participants in such horse show and their animals and hereby waives any claim for damages against the NEW YORK STATE SADDLE HORSE ASSOCIATION and RUGMAKER’S RIDING CLUB based on an injury due to the conduct of another participant in such event or other participant’s animal. Per New York State Law No. VAT1265, all riders 13 years of age and under must wear a helmet meeting or exceeding ASTM F1163 (Safety Equipment Institute certified) Equestrian Standards. The parent/guardian who signs the release form for a rider 13 years of age and under is personally responsible for seeing that the exhibitor in their care, custody, and control to obeying this law.
