How to Work With Lawn Signs in NationBuilder
Getting a List of Lawn Sign Requests
Sign into your nation in NationBuilder and go to the ‘People’ tab.
Click the ‘Filter’ button, depicted by a funnel.

Once the ‘Add criteria’ menu appears, press the plus sign in order to begin filtering.

Start typing ‘Lawn Sign’ into the provided field in order to find the field for lawn sign status. The one we want will say ‘Lawn Sign 2015 General
(People)’ and is located under ‘Custom Fields’.

From there you can select what lawn signs you want to see. The options are ‘Requested’, ‘Complete’, and ‘Call To Confirm’. The people with
status ‘Call To Confirm’ are people who would like to be called before being given a lawn sign.
Select one of the three options and press the ‘Filter’ button in order to get your list. In this case we have found 29 people who have requested a
lawn sign.
Updating the Lawn Sign Field in NationBuilder
Let’s say you want to mark someone as ‘Complete’, as you have just provided them with a lawn sign. Find and go to their profile on
NationBuilder.

When you go to someone’s profile on NationBuilder, you start out on the ‘Dashboard’ page. Go to the edit page by clicking ‘Edit’, which is located
to the right of ‘Dashboard’.
Once on the edit page, click ‘Custom fields’ in order to go to the page containing custom fields. This is where the lawn sign data is stored. The link
for the ‘Custom fields’ page is located under the ‘Edit’ link and to the right of ‘Settings’.

When you’re on the custom fields page, the ‘Edit’ and ‘Custom fields’ links should appear in blue, just like in the screenshot above. Scroll down in
order to find the ‘Lawn Sign 2015 General’ menu.

In this case, this person has a lawn sign status of ‘Requested’. We need to mark this as complete. Click on the downward pointing triangle to show
the lawn sign menu.

Click ‘Complete’ from the drop down menu.
Now that you have marked the person as ‘Complete’, press the ‘Save custom values’ button at the bottom of the page in order to save your work.
You can use this same method to mark someone as ‘Requested’ or ‘Call To Confirm’, as well.
