Research scientist at Landvik, Grimstad. Research in field vegetables, with focus on cultivation
methods, health and flavour related substances, sensory quality, cultivars, crop rotation and plant
nutrition, innovation, raw material for industry and product development. Responsible for research
on root crops, organic cultivation, avd quality improvement and control. Project manager for
several projects, among others, following three can be mentioned:
1) Pre- and postharvest quality optimization of organic vegetables that can stimulate an increased
consumption – organic cultivation, crop rotations.
2) Cultivation of Jerusalem artichoke under long day conditions – quality characterization and health
aspects
3) Leading the Norwegian participation in the COORE-Organic project: Quality analysis of critical
control points within the whole food chain and their impact on food quality, safety and health
(QACCP)
