The children will be involved in creating and using a pretend
seaside setting to use as part of their learning and exploring
throughout this topic.
We will continue to explore more about the seashore. We
will be sharing and reading seaside stories and poems.

size, sequencing and matching numbers to quantities.

We will be adding to our pretend seaside setting by adding
pebbles. We will be exploring and looking at beach objects. We
will be sharing non-fiction books about the seashore.
The children will be involved in planning and preparing a
Funfair which they will open to children, parents and carers
etc. They will plan games to make and choose appropriate
resources and tools.
We are going to end and celebrate this topic by having a Pirate
Picnic. The children will prepare their own supplies for their
picnic and take part in a treasure hunt.

numbers, missing numbers, water capacity and weighing shells.
