BASIC TIPS FOR YOUR
SKIN CARE!
In this magazine, we are going to talk about the different systems our body is made up and ways to maintain them in good and healthy conditions. The integumentary system consists of the organ systems that compose the skin, hair, nails, and exocrine glands. Skin is not that thick but yet it is our body´s largest organ. Skin acts as a barrier to our body protecting us against physical damage, UV light, pathogens and serves to hold in the water in our body. The skin consists of a 3-‐layer tissue: epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis. Tendons, ligaments, and cartilage are an essential part of our skeletal system that helps us move our body around. The main purpose of the bones in our body is to provide us support and shape and also to protect our internal organs from being injured. Our muscles work with the help of our nervous system. The main functions of our muscular system are: excitability, extensibility, contractibility, and elasticity. Most of our body is made up of muscles and they are attached to our bones to help them move.
