Darlene has been thriving in the floral industry for over 23
years . Studying locally at Humber College with an internship
at Reeves Florist and Nursery she completed her degree with
honours. Darlene has received many design awards, from
Flowers Canada, Canadian Florist Magazine, Canada Blooms
and various other Horticultural awards. Her Studies in floral
design continued in the Netherlands and New York where she
enriched her knowledge and broadened her skill level. Darlene
was one of the youngest Canadians to complete her CAFA
(Canadian Academy of Floral Art) in 2000. Darlene brings
fresh inspiration to floral design. Sharing her passion and she
wealth of knowledge in a motivated and inspiring way.

Foundation Course. A basic technique in Dutch design, this is one of
the most significant and useful techniques in the floral industry —learn
the spiral technique, shaping everyday bouquets to basic hand tied
bridal bouquets, to vase arrangements. Take home 2 unique projects.

Complete two very different vase arrangement styles in this class, a low
cylinder vase filled with seasonal bloom and a centerpiece style tall

Inspiring education
Thank you for your interest in our classes. It is the propose of the Seasons Flower School to inspire and motivate
fresh ideas in the floral industry. We hope to peak the
interest of flower lovers to explore the world of floral
design , and to motivate those in the industry to develop
and refine new and exciting trends and skills. Our passion for flowers is evident in our beautiful Victorian design studio. Located only 45 min north of Toronto Seasons is the perfect place to explore and learn in a relaxing
country atmosphere.
Each class will help students identify proper flower names
give tips on seasonal selection and availability. Students
will learn the elements and principals of design and learn
how to incorporate them into floral designs. Students
will identify and master the correct use of tools.
Students will learn how to correctly choose materials the
difference between garden and shop blooms, proper care
and handling and much much more….
Seasons Customized tool kits are
available for the additional cost of $150.00. ( see page 8)
If you would like to purchase your own tools—a list of
required tools for classes is available.
A Field Trip will be planned to familiarize those
interested with wholesale shopping. Date to be announced.
