2015-16 Required Textbooks and Resources
Below is a complete list of required textbooks and resources for next year.
Note: Wherever possible, we have selected digital versions of textbooks and resources for easy download onto the student’s iPad. However,
in some instances, publishers offer only print editions.

In the list of Required Textbooks and Resources, we have indicated which titles should be purchased in eBook format, and
which should be purchased as print copies.

When a textbook or resource is available in eBook format you will see the words: “to be purchased in digital format.”

When a textbook is only available in print format you will see the words: “to be purchased in print format.”
! In a few cases, we are able to offer students the opportunity to purchase textbooks and resources in either the digital or
print version. In these instances, students are free to select the version they feel will work best for them.

assignments which include requirements, expectations and guidelines.

Refer to the SJP website for a link to the Follett Virtual Bookstore, where you can one-stop shop for almost all of the
print/hardcopy and digital versions of the textbooks and resources you will need for next year. The Follett website will go

Important Note: Students should feel comfortable waiting to download digital versions of any required textbook or
resource until the first week of school. At that point all students will have received their iPads and teachers will have had an
opportunity to offer additional guidance regarding the downloading process.

All-School Book: The SJPHS all-school book for the summer of 2015 will be I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai and
Christina Lamb (Little, Brown and Company Publishing, 2013. ISBN 9780316322409). Students are free to purchase
this title in print or digital format. All students, staff and teachers will read this book over the summer. As part of their
Theology class, all students will be assessed on this reading during the first full week of school. As an all-school book, other

Note: Where possible, we have tried to offer novels, books and texts that are downloadable. We encourage students to take
advantage of the opportunity to download as many of their school books/texts as possible on their iPad.
