Terra Beata
Invocation*
Affirmation of Faith*
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ
his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin
Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he
rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the
Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe
in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness
of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Gloria Patri *
Charles Meineke
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Prayer*
Anthem There is a balm in Gilead
William L. Dawson
(1899-1990)
There is a Balm in Gilead, to make the wounded whole, to heal the sin-sick soul. Some
times I feel discouraged, and think my works in vain, but then the Holy Spirit revives
my soul again. If you cannot sing like angels, if you cannot preach like Paul, you can
tell the love of Jesus, and say “He died for all.”
