SNM POSTERS
SNM is pleased to announce that 2,152 abstracts have been accepted for presentation and publication for the
upcoming 2012 SNM Annual Meeting. Of these accepted abstracts, 1,466 abstracts (68%) have been assigned to
poster sessions, representing a substantial portion of the science to be presented at the Annual Meeting. All
posters are displayed in the SNM Poster Hall (Exhibit Hall A-B), and must be available for attendees to view
starting from 12:30PM, Sunday, June 10 to 5:30PM, Tuesday, June 12.
POSTER/POSTERBOARD DIMENSIONS
All posters must be in LANDSCAPE format (as opposed to PORTRAIT format). Maximum recommended size for
posters is 6 feet WIDE (horizontally) by 3 feet TALL (vertically). Metric = 1.82 meters WIDE by .91 meters
TALL. Poster boards are 8 feet WIDE by 4 feet TALL; thus, posters should allow for sufficient space to affix
handouts, overhead banners, business cards, and other non-commercial supplemental materials, if desired.
SPECIAL MTA POSTER SESSION
This year offers an additional poster session: “Special Meet-the-Author (MTA)” poster session. This Special
MTA will be held on Sunday, June 10, from 6:30PM – 8:00PM, and will feature posters/scheduled presenters in
the Molecular Targeting Probes-Radioactive & Nonradioactive track. This poster session will be
incorporated with the Poster Session Mixer, an event sponsored by the SNM Radiopharmaceutical Sciences
Council (RPSC) and the Center for Molecular Imaging Innovation & Translation (CMIIT). The event will offer
light refreshments and drinks, and will give all attendees an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the
poster hall while socializing with friends and colleagues. Please note that this Sunday evening poster session
will NOT offer CE credit to attendees.
MEET THE AUTHOR SESSIONS I (Monday, June 11) and II (Tuesday, June 12)
SNM will host 2 poster sessions that offer CE credit for attendees. Each poster session features a 90-minute
timeframe to “meet” the scheduled presenters from specific scientific or educational tracks:
MTA I (Monday, June 11, 2:30PM – 4:00PM)
o Educational Exhibit Track
o Oncology: Basic, Translational & Therapy Track
o Oncology: Clinical Diagnosis Track
MTA II (Tuesday, June 12, 2:30PM – 4:00PM)
o Cardiovascular Track
o Neurosciences Track
o General Clinical Specialties Track
o Instrumentation & Data Analysis Track
POSTER AWARD CEREMONIES
At the start of each MTA poster session (2:30PM), the Chair of the Scientific Program Committee will announce
the winners for the highest-scored posters within each track. Onsite judges rank the Top 10 candidate posters
within each track, then 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-place winners are determined prior to the start of both MTA I and MTA II
poster sessions. Winners are presented with a certificate starting at 2:30PM, at the STAGE AREA of the
Poster Hall for the following tracks:
MTA I Poster Session (Monday, June 11 at 2:30PM)
o Educational Exhibits Track
o Oncology: Basic, Translational & Therapy Track
o Oncology: Clinical Diagnosis Track
o Molecular Targeting Probes-Radioactive & Nonradioactive Track
MTA II Poster Session (Tuesday, June 12 at 2:30PM)
o Cardiovascular Track
o Neurosciences Track
o General Clinical Specialties Track
o Instrumentation & Data Analysis Track
