MEMORIES IN THE MAKING.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Horizontally place poster board on table. Use pencil and X-ACTO® Designer Series 12" Metal Ruler
to measure and mark on poster board an 8" x 24" rectangle. Use Metal Ruler and X-ACTO®
Designer Gripster® Knife on 12" x 12" Self-Healing Cutting Mat to cut out, moving Cutting Mat to
protect work surface as you cut. (Hint: Score lightly first and then press more firmly to cut deeper,
with a couple passes of the knife.)
2. On poster board rectangle, measure and mark with pencil every 6" to divide poster board into four
equal panels, lightly drawing fold lines. So that poster board will fold easily, use Metal Ruler,
Gripster Knife on Cutting Mat to very lightly score/cut on each of the three pencil lines. (Hint:
Practice lightly scoring on scrap of poster board first.) Refer to photo to accordion-fold on each
scored line.
3. Use X-ACTO® Designer Series 12" Rotary Paper Trimmer to cut each of four scrapbook papers to
6"x 8" and four pieces cardstock to 4 1/4" x 6 1/4". Refer to photo to use CraftBond™ Extra
Strength Glue Stick to carefully align and attach scrapbook papers to each panel of poster board,
checking to be sure panels will still fold.
4. Center and use CraftBond™ Glue Tape Runner to attach photos to cardstock pieces. Plan and
position cardstock-backed photos and embellishments panels, leaving room at top right and top left
for ribbon holes. (Note: By positioning photo to one side of each panel, and placing farther up or
down, more room is left for embellishments.)
5. For dimension, use CraftBond™ Foam Mounting Tape behind cardstock-backed photos and press
into place. Use CraftBond™ Glue Spots – Thin, small, to more securely attach embellishments.
(The adhesive on chipboard frequently doesn't hold.)
