season. We knew this year’s Tyke
team had the potential for a big year.
We were very proud to coach a group
of players that never quit despite our
record this season. Bad luck and
injuries we feel cost us. The
improvement from game one to the
playoffs showed us as coaches the
care and pride each player took being
a Warrior.
As coaches, we try to create a team
that we feel will be competitive. We
also want the kids to have fun and
learn the game. Our goal to improve
from start to finish while having fun was very important. We as a staff felt that was accomplished.

Key injuries and untimely mistakes cost us, but we learned from them as the season went on. There was
never any quit in this group. We enjoyed coaching this group and will miss the players that are moving up.
Our season was filled with challenges. There was a greater number of new players, injuries and lower
attendance, may have been a factor in some of the close games we played this year. The kids fought hard
in all the games though. There is no doubt in the coaches’ minds that this group of players could be
successful. Our defensive team this year was arguably the best in the league. After each and every game
the opposing coaches commented on how tough the game was and hoped they would not have to face this
defense again.
On the behalf of the Tyke coaching staff, I would like to congratulate the team on a fun season. Although,
the season was filled with ups and downs, it did not deter the young players from working very hard each
and every game. We were encouraged at the at the kids improvement game after game. We are excited
about returning players next season and will miss the players that are moving up to the next level. We wish
them every success.
Congratulations on a great season boys and to all of our parents, volunteers and coaches, I want to thank
you for all of your support this year. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank You!

ABOUT THE BELL WARRIORS: The Bell Warriors Minor Football Club offers an amateur tackle
football program for boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 17. The Club has been in existence
since 1955, with a team in the Pee Wee division. As the league has expanded, so to have the
Warriors, and now has close to 138 players competing annually at the Tyke, Mosquito, Pee Wee
and Bantam levels. Our territory includes Bells Corners, Crystal Beach, Bayshore, Britannia,
Stittsville, Richmond and Munster. Our organization stresses skills development, sportsmanship,
and the value of teamwork. Over fifty volunteers help us to attain these goals through their efforts
as club executives, coaches, conveners, event organizers and as bingo workers. Without their help,
the Club would not be able to function.
