CPC30611 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating Course Description Are you looking to start a painting and decorating apprenticeship? This is the course for you. This is a trade-level qualification designed for apprentices. It provides you with the skills and knowledge and experience to work in the painting and decorating industry. What will I learn? Major areas of study include: • Occupational health and safety • Interpretation of plans and documents • Measurements and calculations • Use of hand and power tools • Erection and dismantling of scaffolding • Paint application • Paint types and uses When can I start and how often do I attend? Intakes are ongoing throughout the year so you can start as soon as you secure an employer. As an apprentice, you will undertake a combination of on-site and off-site training. You can expect to attend an average of five one-week blocks of study at The Gordon each year. Another one week of study will be assessed on-site in the workplace. Due to the different level of Government subsidy available to students as published below, there are three possible fee levels for tuition fees; concession, standard and full fee.
