I will be able to identify and describe what the Boom was I will be able to explain key examples from the Boom I will be able to compare different sources and expand upon the sources Homework: . In week one I will learn: What does Pull and Push Factors mean I will be able to describe the push and pull factors of America in 1920s and before I will be able to evaluate sources to highlight which groups of people were pushed and pulled towards America. Homework: To analyse the Great American Seal. In week two I will learn: Why there was a Boom in the American economy in 1920s. I will be able to outline the reasons for the Boom I will be able to analyse evidence with the idea of was it too good to be true Homework: In week two I will learn: Who did not benefit from the Boom and why? I will be able to state the groups of people who did not benefit from the boom. I will be able to explain why they didn’t benefit I will be able to make a judgement on why different groups experienced different measures of success or failure in this period Homework: To analyse sources based on farmers. In week three I will learn: Why did agriculture not benefit from the Boom? I will be able to describe why farming was or is important to American society I will be able to analyse sources to explain why farmers weren’t able to maintain productivity Homework: To revise for end of topic exam. In week three I will learn: Exam – EOT I will be able to answer the following question with use of the writing frame if needed: How far did American Society face a Boom in the 1920s? Homework: To analyse the song ‘strange fruit’ by Billie Holiday. In week four I will learn: How wide spread was intolerance in 1920’s America I will be able to understand what some people’s attitudes towards blacks were during this period I will be able to identify and compare sources to explain who did and did not have this attitude Homework: In week four I will learn: How were women treated during this period? I will be able to examine ways women expressed themselves in 1920s America I will be able to explain how ‘free’ women were to do this and impact on society Homework: To investigate pictures of flappers.
