RABBI’S SHABBAT MESSAGE Why did G-d choose the desert as the place to carry our people through? Certainly lush green valleys and beautiful beaches do a lot more for the company morale than any hot and dry desert. So why the desert? Why sand over grass? Why thirst over water? Why emptiness over beauty? Why? The answer is found in a tiny sentence where the Torah tells us why G-d took us through the entire desertall of it. For the entire forty years our people wandered to teach us that the journey is the mission; That the process is greater than the actual purpose.
