The St George Hotel is an approved venue for
the solemnisation of marriages; we have four
suites licensed for this purpose.
Room Hire is charged for the Suite that the
ceremony will be held in;
The Swaledale Suite – £500.00
Seating 110 - 200 guests
The largest suite simply offering grandeur, natural
daylight streams through the beautiful bay windows
The Wharfedale Suite - £375.00
Seating 60 – 100 guests
Oozes Edwardian character and provides access to the
patio, BBQ area and garden.
The Nidderdale & Calderdale Suite - £300.00
Seating up to 70 guests combined

Two delightfully versatile rooms that can be used
separately or opened into one large room, overlooking
the Royal Hall and both offering air conditioning.

Accommodation
The hotel has 85 bedrooms with a selection of
family rooms. All rooms are tastefully decorated
with stylish and practical interiors.
Check-in time is 3pm. Should guests require
early access to change, we strongly advise that
they reserve their room for the night prior.
Exclusive rates for the first 10 bedrooms are
subject to availability.
All guests staying overnight have complimentary
use of the Leisure Facilities.
Further bedrooms can be booked directly with
reservations at the hotel or central reservations on
0844 55 60 880, (these may be subject to a 2 night
minimum stay.)

The management reserves the right to alter or
amend any details in the brochure without notice;
we will make every effort to notify guests of any
changes.
Provisional bookings will be released if a deposit
of £300.00 is not received within 14 days of the
initial enquiry.
Children aged between 3-12 years are charged at
half price. Babies and children up to the age of 3
are free of charge.
Evening buffets must cater for a minimum of 80%
of the evening guests.
We regret we cannot offer corkage facilities.
After confirming the wedding date the Hotel
cannot be held responsible for accommodation
being fully booked.
The hotel management will be the sole arbiter
as to the accepted level of noise created by a
function and reserves the right to terminate a
function that fails to moderate its sound levels
when requested.
The customer is liable for all losses or damages
sustained in respect of the premises, furnishings,
utensils or equipment either caused wilfully by
negligence or default and shall be liable for the
cost of the replacement, plus compensation for
the loss of business caused thereby.
Final numbers must be confirmed at least 14 days
in advance – this will be the minimum numbers
charged for.
Payment: At least six weeks before the wedding,
we recommend that you discuss your final details.
We will send you a written confirmation along
with a pro-forma invoice for the estimated cost of
the wedding. 100% payment of the predicted total
amount, less deposit, must be paid 14 days prior
to the wedding day. After this payment should
numbers increase any extra payment required
must be settled before the wedding day.
In the unfortunate event of you having to cancel
a confirmed booking, then the space is, therefore
not re-lettable, the hotel will submit cancellation
charges as follows;
Less than 14 days prior to the event – 100%
1 month – 15 days prior – 75%
Between 1 – 3 months prior – 50%
From 3 – 6 months prior – 25%
(Applicable to total estimated value of the
business for the meal and bar spend less VAT at
the current rate)
Cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
Prices are correct at the time of printing, but
may be subject to change. VAT is included at the
current rate. No price increase will apply within
three months prior to the event, or the time you
confirm details.
