Minimum requirements for admission of researchers POST Area Coordinator One of each subject matter (Human Genetic Variability, Oncology Genomics and Pharmacogenomics). Main activities include: a) Coordinating and facilitating scientific activity performed in his/her area. b) Supporting and promoting the collaboration of the Principal Investigators of his/her area with the Principal Investigators of the two other areas. c) Supporting and promoting the scientific and technical collaboration between research groups of his/her area and sector companies. d) Supervising the fluid communication between the different research teams. e) Informing the management, whenever requested, of the scientific activities performed in his/her area. f) Helping the Scientific Director in execution of strategic plans to implement the research results of the centre in the Andalusian Public Health System. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS o Be Principal Investigator of active projects funded by calls for competition. The sum of the funding obtained in the last 3 years, through these projects, must be of at least €300,000. o Have participated as Principal Investigator, at least once in the last 5 years, in a R&D+i project in genetics/genomics applied to health, funded by an international funding agency. o In the last 5 years, at least 70% of the total funding of the projects in which he/she participates as Principal Investigator, must correspond to R&D+i projects in genetics/genomics applied to the health o Be Principal Investigator of an active project (funded by call for competition) in accordance with one of the lines prioritized in the centre. o At least 50% of the scientific production in the last 5 years must correspond to works which use genetics/genomics health applications. These works must be published in scientific journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of the Institute for Scientific Information of Thomson Scientific (Thomson ISI). o At least 50% of the scientific production of the last 5 years must be published in journals of the first quartile of one of the areas forming the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of Thomson ISI, irrespective of the area they fit into. o In the last 5 years, the position of authorship of at least 45% of his/her scientific production must be as corresponding author. o Must have participated as Principal Investigator in a project in cooperation with the industry, at least once in the last 5 years. Consolidated Principal Investigator The PIs will be the head researchers of each research group. They must have active projects in research lines belonging to one of the areas. They have full research independence, with own personnel and funding. GENYO’s PIs shall be divided into Emerging Principal Investigators and Consolidated Principal Investigators. o o o o o o o Be Principal Investigator of active projects funded by calls for competition. The sum of the funding obtained in the last 3 years, through these projects, must be of at least €200,000. In the last 5 years, at least 50% of the total funding of the projects in which he/she participates as Principal Investigator must correspond to R&D+i projects in genetics/genomics applied to the health. Be Principal Investigator of an active project (funded by call for competition) in accordance with one of the lines prioritized in the centre. At least 50% of the scientific production in the last 5 years must correspond to works which use genetics/genomics health applications. These works must be published in scientific journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of the Institute for Scientific Information of Thomson Scientific (Thomson ISI). In the last 5 years, the position of authorship of at least 35% of his/her scientific production must be as corresponding author. Must have participated as Principal Investigator in a project in cooperation with the industry, at least once in the last 5 years. Emerging Principal Investigator o The Emerging PIs are researchers who, although they do not meet the conditions of Consolidated PIs, manage a research line of one of the centre’s groups, with competitive funding and own staff. o o o Be Principal Investigator of at least one active R&D+i project in genetics/genomics applied to the health. This project must be funded through calls for competition. At least 10% of the scientific production in the last 5 years must correspond to works which use genetics/genomics health applications. These works must be published in scientific journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of the Institute for Scientific Information of Thomson Scientific (Thomson ISI). At least 35% of the scientific production of the last 5 years must be published in journals of the first quartile of one of the areas forming the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of Thomson ISI, irrespective of the area they fit into. In the last 5 years, the position of authorship of at least 20% of his/her scientific production must be as first author. Associate Researcher Principal Investigators of a research group in Andalusia that are associated to GENYO but who perform their activity in another centre or institution. They can use the centre facilities, as well as choosing the same funding instruments, both of personnel and equipment, as the rest of the centre’s Principal Investigators (under agreement between GENYO and the parent institution of the associate researcher). For the purposes of rights and obligations they will have the same position as the other Principal Investigators in the centre, although to maintain their link with GENYO they must maintain active collaborations with some of the PIs physically located in it. o o o o o Head of Research Support Unit o They will be the heads of scientific management of the services of his/her Unit. In turn, they will be the centre’s Principal Investigators and, as such, must perform lines of research with competitive funding. o Be Principal Investigator of active projects funded by calls for competition. The sum of the funding obtained in the last 3 years, through these projects, must be of at least €200,000. Have participated as Principal Investigator, at least once in the last 5 years, in a R&D+i project which uses genetics/genomics health applications, funded in a call for competition with at least €70,000/project. Have, at least once in the last 5 years, a R&D+i work published which uses genetics/genomics health applications. The publication must be produced in journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of the Thomson ISI. At least 50% of the scientific production of the last 5 years must be published in journals of the first quartile of one of the areas forming the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of Thomson ISI, irrespective of the area they fit into.
